Appointments

Appointments are made online or by phoning Victoria Street Medical Group Brunswick and speaking with our friendly staff during business hours. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred doctor and appointment time.

Our doctors attend to patients with medical emergencies and urgent medical matters as soon as possible. Such cases will take priority as per our clinic triage protocol. Patients are otherwise  seen in the order of booking. Appointments are 10min duration, however, if you have multiple health concerns that you wish to discuss these with the doctor, please notify reception at the time of making your appointment as you may require a longer consultation.

 If you cannot attend your appointment, you may cancel online or ring and arrange cancellation so our doctor’s time may be freed up for another patient.

Telephone Consultations

We offer bulk-billed telephone consultations ONLY to our existing patients who have visited the medical centre in the past 12 months. You can book telephone consultations by ringing our reception staff. Our doctor will call back at a suitable time on the same day to discuss your symptoms and concerns. They will arrange an appropriate management plan and may follow up with face to face consultation if required. At times our doctor may request that you attend the clinic for physical examination.

Consultations for Chronic Disease Management Plans, health assessments, Eating disorders Plans and Mental Health Plans cannot by conducted via telephone consultations. You must present to the clinic for a face to face consultation.

After Hours Care

The designated After Hours Care service provider for Victoria Street Medical Group is the Doctor Doctor Service. For After Hours home visits please call 132660 after 4pm to schedule an appointment. In the case of an emergency, please call 000 or if able to do so safely, attend the nearest Emergency Department – Royal Melbourne Hospital for general matters, Royal Women’s Hospital for acute pregnancy related emergencies or women’s health matters or Royal Children’s Hospital for children under 16. The emergency departments of these hospitals are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Reschedules and Cancellations

 Reception staff at Victoria Street Medical Group Brunswick are to be notified as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your doctor’s appointment. This will allow us to make the appointment time available for other patients.
